SUMMARY

Swallowtail powder snowboard with hammerhead nose, progressive sidecut and bamboo topsheet.

The Stranda Tree Surfer 2027 is a directional freeride board for first-to-last-chair powder freaks. A hammerhead nose up front and a compact swallowtail out back give it a unique surfy feel: the tail sinks, the nose rises, and deep snow turns into something you slash rather than fight.

The profile is built around that intent. Nose rocker starts just after the front inserts for float and easy turn initiation, camber between the inserts delivers the carving power and grip that stops this being a one-condition board, and a mellow tail rocker keeps the swallowtail from catching when you are riding directionally.

A progressive sidecut of roughly 7.7-7.8m tightens towards the tail, so turns accelerate and finish tight - ideal for tree runs and tight gullies. An ash core with full-length poplar stringers keeps it lively, while triax fibreglass and carbon torsion rods running from the inserts out to the nose and tail wide points add torsional response. A Durasurf 4001 sintered base and a gloss bamboo topsheet finish it off. Ride it in your traditional freeride size; size up for more float, size down for technical performance. Not a switch or park board - and it does not pretend to be.

  • Triax fibreglass with carbon torsion rods from inserts to nose and tail wide points
  • Durasurf 4001 sintered base
