SUMMARY
The Salomon S/RACE Pro Junior SL is a proper junior slalom race ski, built for young racers who have outgrown...The Salomon S/RACE Pro Junior SL is a proper junior slalom race ski, built for young racers who have outgrown entry level kit and are starting to put real power through a turn. The 65mm waist and the tight 12m radius at 152cm are what you would expect from a slalom ski: it comes round fast, grips hard, and rewards a racer who knows how to stand on it. Full camber with no rocker keeps the entire edge in contact with the snow, which is exactly what you want on an icy race surface.
Underneath, Salomon have given it serious hardware for a junior ski. Two layers of titanal sit either side of a beech and poplar woodcore for precision and edge grip, a 3D Race Monocoque construction adds power and acceleration out of the gate, and full sandwich sidewalls keep everything stable and predictable. The tail protector is a small touch that matters on a ski spending its life in a race bag. This is a ski for a committed club or academy racer rather than a general piste skier, and it wants a confident, aggressive technique to come alive.
