SUMMARY

Big-foot freestyle true twin — Camber, HP construction, Magne-Traction®, 163/166cm Wide

The Lib Tech Skunk Ape Twin is the answer to a question that large-footed freestyle snowboarders have been asking for years: why can’t a big wide platform be a true twin? The legendary Skunk Ape series has been Lib Tech’s go-to solution for riders with bigger boots who need a wider waist to prevent toe and heel drag, but the original models have tended toward directional or all-mountain shapes. The Skunk Ape Twin takes that generous, no-toe-drag platform and reengineers it as a symmetrical freestyle twin — switch-ready, park-capable, and completely at home in both directions from first chair to last run.

Built in Lib Tech’s ultra-light HP Construction, the Skunk Ape Twin has a jib-friendly flex and a twin shape that is equally at home on rails, in the park or disappearing into the trees. The Camber contour provides crisp edge hold, pop and reliable control in both directions on groomed and firm snow. Magne-Traction® edges add the grip that wide boards sometimes lack on ice. Firm flex rated 7.

Rocker Profile: Camber

Features

  • True Twin shape — fully symmetrical nose to tail; switch-ready and park-capable; the big-foot platform finally gone freestyle

  • Camber contour — full traditional camber for maximum pop, edge hold and precision underfoot in both directions

  • Wide platform — 26.8cm waist (both sizes) eliminates toe and heel drag for riders with larger boots.

  • HP Construction — Horsepower ultra-light core construction for a lower swing weight that benefits jib riding and park performance

  • Magne-Traction® — serrated edges for edge hold and grip on harder snow; critical on wide boards that might otherwise feel sluggish on edge

  • Sintered knife-cut base — fast, durable base built for consistent all-mountain performance

  • Flex 7 (Firm) — stiff enough to charge the mountain and stomp landings; stable at speed for a true freestyle twin
