The Nansen series is named after Fridtjof Nansen, who completed the first crossing of Greenland in 1888 wearing Devold wool, and the heritage of that journey is woven into every stitch of this crew-neck sweater.
Knitted from 100% pure new wool from Norwegian sheep, the Nansen Sweater is thick, naturally insulating and breathable. Originally designed for fishermen and workers along the harsh Norwegian coast, it has become one of the most popular midlayers in the Devold range — worn over a baselayer on the mountain or on its own in a cold cabin or city street. Pre-washed for softness and to prevent post-purchase shrinkage, the Nansen features a classic crew neck, comfortable ribbed cuffs and hem, and a reliable unisex cut. Wool fiber thickness of 32 to 26 microns makes it notably warm and rugged for high-demand conditions.

Returns Process
We are pleased to offer refunds for any items purchased from Snowtrax, subject to the following conditions:
- Condition: Returned goods must be unused, in saleable condition, and in their original packaging with all labels attached.
- Exceptions: Due to health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns for underwear or face coverings unless the item is clearly faulty.
- Skis & Bindings: Skis and bindings that have been drill mounted are no longer considered new and unused.
- Timeframe: Returns must be made within 14 days of receipt. *Extended until 15th Jan for Xmas Gifts purchased from 1st November.
- Returns Note: A completed returns note is essential for processing your return.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 7 working days for the funds to appear in your account.
- Exchanges: For exchanges, please place a new order for the desired item. We will refund your return once it is received.
