Crafted for big lines and deep snow, the Atomic Backland 109 is the go-to freeride touring ski for spirited backcountry adventurers. Designed in collaboration with Chris Rubens, it offers the perfect blend of playful float, powerful performance, and reduced environmental impact. Its FreeTour Profile uses more poplar wood and less metal and resin to create a smooth, energetic flex pattern. The 109mm waist and HRZN 3D tip maximize float in powder, while a full ash insert under the binding boosts security. With a poplar/caruba Ultra Light Woodcore and Powder Rocker, the Backland 109 is nimble in soft snow yet stable in chop, all while cutting 26% of its CO₂ equivalent emissions versus previous models. Built to tour far and charge hard — this ski delivers, sustainably.
