When you purchase your ski boots from us, enjoy a professional fitting for just £50. This service includes a 1 hour 45 minute appointment with personalised adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and maximum comfort on the slopes. The appointment fee is refunded on purchase of boots.

Here’s what to expect when having your ski boots professionally fitted here at The Boot Lab – Snowtrax…
- Discussion – Tell us about your skiing ability, what type of piste runs you like to ski on and how fast & aggressively you ski. Talk to us about previous boots you’ve owned or rented. Highlight if you’ve had any problems in the past
- Foot Analysis – We’ll measure your feet & assess their shape. We can then use this information as a guide to begin recommending ski boots for you.
- Socks – Often forgotten, a technical ski sock will make a huge difference to the fit of your ski boots. Our boot fitters will discuss what type of socks you currently use and discuss potential alternatives.
- Boot Selection – We’ll select a few models of boot that suit your foot shape & ability, among other variables.
- Shell Check – This boot fitting technique acts as a guide to give us an idea of how snug the boot is going to fit. By removing the inner liner, we can check how your foot fits the outer rigid shell of the ski boot. This is very important to ensure you are in the correct sized boot.
- Trying On – Before putting the boots on there’s 2 things to be aware of. Firstly your toe will and indeed should, initially touch the end of the ski boot, it may even feel crunched up at the end, this is normal. As soon as the boot is on correctly and done up we'll ask you to flex forward into a ski position, this will change your foots position as it is pulled back into the heel cup. This will drastically improve the feel of the ski boots. Secondly, a NEW ski boot should feel snug. Ski boot liners "bed-in" over the first few days of skiing; the liners pad down so it’s important the boot feels snug initially, they will loosen up with use.
- Insole – After narrowing down your selection of boots we’ll discuss various options of supportive insole. This is essential for nearly all types of foot shape and will ensure that comfort is guaranteed. We offer a great range of ski boot footbeds. They're usually either pre shaped for a great out the box feel or a fully customised footbed, that is completely tailored to your feet only.
- Customisation – We’ll heat up your boots & customise them to your feet. This is the ultimate in boot fitting & ensures a precise, comfy fit.

By booking a ski boot fit appointment, you guarantee one of our expert boot technicians will be available to help you find your perfect pair of ski boots. No appointment slot available on the day you require?
Booked boot fitting appointments take priority and make up the majority of our daily boot fitting sessions. However, if no other day or time is available to you, we recommend calling us on 01202 499155 to see if we can squeeze you in. In these cases there may be a short waiting period upon your arrival, as you wait for a boot fitter to become available.
Comfort Guarantee
At Snowtrax, we’re committed to your complete satisfaction with both the fit and comfort of your ski or snowboard boots. If, after your fitting, you’re not completely satisfied, we’ll work with you to make the necessary adjustments at no extra charge.
Here’s how it works:
• Adjustments & Modifications: If your boots feel uncomfortable or don’t provide the support you need, bring them back within 2 years of your purchase, and we’ll assess the fit and make any required modifications.
• Follow-up Fittings: We’ll schedule follow-up fittings to ensure your boots are adjusted for the best possible comfort and performance.
• No Hassle: If we’re unable to achieve the fit you need, we’ll help you find a more suitable pair of boots.
Our Promise to You

Terms & Conditions
• Our comfort guarantee applies only to ski or snowboard boots purchased from Snowtrax, where our boot fitter’s advice has been followed and recommended insoles have been purchased.
• If your boots are exchanged, we will charge a rental fee of £60.
• Proof of purchase must be provided.
What if I decide not to purchase boots?
If you choose not to buy boots during your boot fitting appointment in our Boot Lab, we’ll keep your details on file for future reference. When you’re ready to purchase, we’ll book you a free appointment – and your original appointment fee will be refunded with your purchase.
If, in the unlikely event, we don’t have a suitable boot available or can’t supply one before your holiday, we’ll waive the original appointment fee.
