SUMMARY
The Salomon QST Ripper M is a kids' 99mm freeride ski, light and forgiving with twin rocker for soft snow and switch riding. Free UK delivery. The Salomon QST Ripper M is the junior version of Salomon's QST freeride line, and it is built for kids who have stopped staying on the piste. At 99mm underfoot in the 147cm length it is genuinely wide for a children's ski, which means a young skier can follow the family into fresh snow and off piste terrain without fighting their equipment. The twin rocker profile lifts both tip and tail clear of the snow, so it floats, pivots easily and is very forgiving of a turn that does not quite go to plan.
The partial twin tip means they can ride switch and back out of tight spots, which matters more than most adults remember. Construction is deliberately simple and tough: a full poplar woodcore for stability and rebound, with a light monocoque build that keeps the ski forgiving underfoot rather than stiff and demanding. The short 10m radius makes turning easy for a lighter skier. It suits an adventurous intermediate to advanced young skier who wants to explore the whole mountain rather than lap the same blue run.
Rocker profile: Twin Rocker, 26% tip rocker / 63% camber / 11% tail rocker
