At 99mm underfoot it sits at the width that does almost everything well: wide enough to float on a powder morning, narrow enough to carve a groomer on the way home, and light enough that nobody minds carrying it. Long progressive rocker in the tip and tail makes it quick to pivot in trees and bumps, while the camber underfoot keeps it honest when the snow firms up.
There is no metal in the Lumen 99, and that is deliberate. Instead Salomon use a full woodcore with their C/FX carbon and flax layup for stiffness and damping, plus cork inserts in the tip and tail to soak up chatter. The result is a ski that feels lively and forgiving rather than demanding, and light enough to be a genuinely credible touring option. Testers repeatedly describe it as versatile above all else, and it suits everyone from a confident intermediate taking their first steps off piste to an experienced skier who wants one pair for the whole trip.

Returns Process
We are pleased to offer refunds for any items purchased from Snowtrax, subject to the following conditions:
- Condition: Returned goods must be unused, in saleable condition, and in their original packaging with all labels attached.
- Exceptions: Due to health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns for underwear or face coverings unless the item is clearly faulty.
- Skis & Bindings: Skis and bindings that have been drill mounted are no longer considered new and unused.
- Timeframe: Returns must be made within 14 days of receipt. *Extended until 15th Jan for Xmas Gifts purchased from 1st November.
- Returns Note: A completed returns note is essential for processing your return.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 7 working days for the funds to appear in your account.
- Exchanges: For exchanges, please place a new order for the desired item. We will refund your return once it is received.
