The wait is finally over - with two years of development, side by side with Bryan Iguchi and Travis Rice - the Union Splitboard Binding System is here at last! Carrying on our “less is more” product mentality, the Expedition System is ready to ride out of the box, cutting out the confusion of getting yourself into the splitboard game.

The Expedition Series not only look like traditional Union bindings, they ride like traditional Union bindings. Compared to the rest, the Expedition system features a unique interface that corkscrews your board together and allowing it to perform like a normal board.
Less moving parts, simplistic design, and proven materials come together as the next generation of splitboard bindings.

Expedition binding
Built to minimize the time it takes to convert from climb mode to ride mode, the Union Split System is not only simple to use, but the unique connection between binding and board also maintains the torsional strength of your splitboard. This gives you the performance you expect from your snowboard along with the performance you expect from Union.

Unmistakably Union
No compromises were made to our binding platform when redesigning it around the function of splitboard performance. We use the same guaranteed heelcups, ratchets, straps, and materials in our split binding as we do throughout our entire product line.

Quiver compliant
Split bindings do not only have to be used with split boards. If you have a quiver of decks to choose from when the situation calls, just mount the Union Split System disc on each one. With the push of a pin you can swap your Expedition bindings between each board quicker than it takes to lace your boots.

Split Pin System
Pins serve as a common method of connection for some of the top performing split systems on the market. Union takes this mounting approach a step further by combining the pin with our Split System baseplate for further connectivity. Between the baseplate and the pin, the percentage points of connection are greater than pin-only systems, allowing for a stronger interface between binding and board. 

 


DURAFLEX ST SP1 BASE:
Once injected with Duraflex ST Nylon, SP1 Expedition base becomes an even stiffer, backcountry access machine. Developed and rigorously tested by none other than Travis Rice and Bryan Iguchi.

SYNTHETIC EVA 3.0 BUSHINGS:
Shock absorbing synthetic bushings are durable and an outstanding compliment for the smooth, natural ride of the SP1 base.

EXTRUDED 3D ALUMINUM HEELCUPS:
The rigidity and strength of Extruded Aluminum acts like a roll cage on a race car - stiffening the entire chassis. The male/female connection with the base provides seamless response.

SYMMETRIC DURAFLEX HIGHBACKS:
Designed specifically for touring, Expedition Highbacks feature an adjustable quick-snap forward lean adjuster that goes from tour to riding mode with the flick of your fingers.

3D SYMMETRIC ANKLE STRAPS:
Direct Connect System locks you in with zero strap elasticity. The MultiLayer Core inside provides supreme comfort, and conforms across the top of your foot.

MAGNESIUM RATCHETS:
This Union exclusive process produces a material 4 times the strength of aluminum with only 1/2 the weight. Plus magnesium is easily recycled and remains the eighth most abundant element on the planet.

DELIVERY WITHIN THE UK

We offer 3 options for customers in the UK:

1. Standard Delivery Service – Items will be sent by Royal Mail or similar. This service will take approximately 7 working days. We recommend using our priority service for larger & valuable items.

2. Priority Delivery - With 1 hour delivery window - Items will be shipped by courier & are fully insured. Delivery will be next working day (not Saturdays or Sundays) from the date we dispatch your order, with a one hour delivery window. No more waiting around at home all day to sign for your parcel, you even get the opportunity to rearrange the time window or the day of delivery. Large & bulky items are usually shipped using UPS. Unfortunately they are unable to offer a 1 hour delivery service on these items (This applies to all Skis & Snowboards).

3. Pick up from store - All orders placed on the website can be collected in store.

PLEASE BE AWARE

If you are buying skis & wish us to mount the bindings, you order will take approximately 1-2 working days before it is ready to be dispatched / collected. We are happy to prioritise your order should you require it urgently, please contact us to discuss before ordering. Find out more about our FREE binding mounting service.

BFPO ADDRESSES

We can ship items to BFPO addresses for the same cost as UK shipment for orders of most small to medium sized items. Please select Mainland UK as your delivery location at the checkout. Unfortunately larger items (Skis & Snowboards) cannot be sent via Royal Mail to BFPO addresses, they need to be shipped by courier. If you are ordering such items please select the country you are located in as the delivery address during the checkout process. This will ensure you are charged the correct amount for shipping & that we do not need to contact you for additional shipping costs before sending your order.

DELIVERY COST & TIMES

Orders confirmed before 12pm will be usually dispatched the same working day. Orders confirmed after 12pm will usually be dispatched on the next working day.

Occasionally, a particular product is not available for immediate despatch. In the event that we cannot meet our usual delivery times, we will notify you of the expected delivery date by e-mail or telephone, and give you the option to cancel your order or suggest an alternative.

PLEASE NOTE - Delivery times are estimates. Whilst we make every effort to dispatch your order promptly, delivery may take longer than the times quoted due to circumstances beyond our control.

International Delivery

We are experts in supplying ski & snowboard equipment to international destinations & can ship to most countries worldwide.

You can place your order & pay securely on our website, all shipping costs are calculated in the checkout process. When shipping to countries outside the EU tax is deducted automatically for applicable locations. (This includes Norway, Switzerland and the Channel Islands).

If you have a number of oversized items in your shopping basket (more than 1 set of skis or snowboards), we may have to contact you before shipping your order to advise the actual shipping cost. You have the option to cancel your order at any time.

We are unable to ship Snowpulse or avalanche Bags with canisters overseas on a standard service. Shipping of the canisters requires a Hazardous contents shipping service, due to the compressed gas. We can obtain a quotation and you can decide whether to pay the shipping charge. Please contact us for details before placing an order.

We can provide quotes for shipping destinations not available at the checkout. Please email us with your requirements, including shipping address & the products you wish to purchase.

Our shipping partners have been carefully selected to give you an excellent level of service.

We will happily exchange or refund any items purchased from Snowtrax:

> Returned goods must be unused, in a saleable condition with all their original packaging & labels still attached.
> Skis & bindings that have been mounted are no longer classed as new & unused. 
> Returns must be made within 14 days of purchase (for Christmas presents by 14th Jan).
> A completed returns note & original receipt are essential. We will credit the card you originally paid with – this may take up to 7 working days to appear as cleared funds.

This returns procedure & policy is for online / telephone purchases only. A separate policy applies to goods purchased in store, please contact us for details or see in store.

RETURNS PROCEDURE

Please follow the procedure below to return goods to us:

1. Download a Returns Form

2. Please print this off, fill out the details & include it with your returned items.

3. Wrap the items in their original packaging with all tags and labels etc relating to the returned goods.

4. Include your original receipt. (Without this we may not be able offer a refund).

5. Send the package with the completed Returns Note to us:

Please note, we strongly advise that you use a recorded delivery service. If you do not use recorded delivery and the goods do not reach us safely, we cannot be held responsible.

Please allow 14 days for us to process your return. We will notify you by phone or e-mail when we have processed your return. No returns can be processed unless these conditions are adhered to.

INCORRECT OR DAMAGED GOODS

If you receive incorrect or damaged goods please contact us by phone or email before sending us back the goods, stating what the fault is & whether you’d like a refund or replacement. We will reimburse the cost of you posting the goods back to us as long as the cost has been agreed by us first.

If you request a refund, we will refund you by the method used to pay for the goods. (This may take up to 7 working days to appear as cleared funds)

If you requested a replacement this will be dispatched as soon as your return has been received.

WARRANTY RETURNS

All items are covered by a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Please contact us by phone or email before returning any items. Items returned under warranty must be clean. Dirty items will not be accepted for repair or replacement. Original receipts will be required for all warranty claims. We will inform you once we have made a decision on your claim under warranty. This may take a little while as some products will need to be sent for independent inspection.

Wear & tear is not covered under the warranty. For skis & snowboards, base & edge damage is regarded as wear & tear.

In the case of repair due to wear & tear we will advise you of the costs before carrying out any work. Return postage will be at your cost.
