Ski Testing

Our dedicated team of hardware testers often head out to the mountains in search of the latest skiing & snowboarding technologies.

Bormio in Italy was the latest trip, to preview 23 different brands & they’re final product ranges for the winter 09/10 season.

The week was summed up perfectly by our favourite freestyle guru -
Christian Luthy:
'...you know that scene in the Matrix when Neo says, “We need guns, lots of guns” and suddenly walls of guns come flying towards them. Well, it was like that but with skis!'

In total 125 testers attended the event with a combined total of 680 skis & a retail value of £269,500! A good effort & many thanks to all who travelled the many miles to take part, feedback was very positive & invaluable to our buying team!

Snowboard Testing

Our Snowboard team’s latest venture was a 1,752 mile round trip to Kaunertal in the Austrian Alps. Their efforts were well rewarded with a sprinkling of fresh snow & an awesome rail jam organised by a man in a banana suit!

With plenty of kit to test & one of the best kept parks in Europe at their disposal the week was a real blast. Big thanks to Rich from Lib Tech (aka banana man), the rail jam was legendary!

Our resident Snowboard expert Rob Doubleday had this to say:
'Imagine you’re at the car rental desk, you can grab any keys you want, they don’t ask for a driver's license and your boss picks up the tab. It was a good week…!'
